I'd like to get to know you!

Yesterday, Diana had a wonderful questionnaire on her blog to get to know her readers. I love this idea so I'm following her lead and having my own for you guys! There are five questions below, copy and paste them in the comment section. Be as detailed as you please.

1. Where are you located? Does your hometown have everything that you want or do you dream of living somewhere else?
2. What do you do for a living? If you could make a living doing anything, what would it be?
3. Favorite color? (You can never be too old for this question.)
4. You have to move out of your house in five minutes-- what three items do you grab?
5. Share a link to your blog/other social network!

I'm excited to get to know you guys!

  4. getting to knoooowww yoooooou, getting to know all about yooooooou

    1. Where are you located? Does your hometown have everything that you want or do you dream of living somewhere else?

I am currently in Portland, OR, and I think this is it for us for awhile. As I've gotten older and grown this family, I've realized that wherever I am is home as long as I'm with my husband and kids. Fortunately Portland is pretty cool as well. The things I look for in a town/city are awesome grocery stores (check), good eats (check), bands I love come here to play (check), and other general fun things to do (check). I do miss the NE and even my real hometown of Seattle, but everything is pretty much working here for now.

    2. What do you do for a living? If you could make a living doing anything, what would it be?

I mom it up, momstyle. I am not sure what I want to do beyond this aka when my kids are in school. I was a retail manager for a long time, did a boring insurance billing job that I killed at, and ran a health clinic. I don't think I want to do any of that again, so it's a constant search trying to figure out who I really am and how that translates to my future.

    3. Favorite color? (You can never be too old for this question.)

for many years I would have answered orange, but I think that has changed. I am really loving teal on me in clothes form, and then I love my fiesta marigold dishes the best right now.

    4. You have to move out of your house in five minutes-- what three items do you grab?

well as long as my kids/hubs/cats are okay, I would grab our backup hard drive, important documents tub, and my blanket. ughhh I still have my baby blanket and just admitted it.

  6. Hi! My name is Laura. I came across your blog through some vast avenue involving looking at another blog linking to yours and another before it, etc.

    1. I live in NYC and specifically Brooklyn. It is not my hometown really, I've only been here a year. NYC has a majority of things I want right now, but I do dream of living somewhere else that is spacious and whose beauty relies in it's natural environment.

    2. For my current living I teach photography and video to adults with disabilities. I would love to make a living doing what I'm doing, but unfortunately its not considered a living by all standards. Regardless of money, I want to make my own films. Mainly directing but also coming up with the idea and helping periodically with the writing process. I also am very interested in learning what a DP does. So, film sets, guerilla films, and collaborations are ideal. But only in the sense that their output and distribution is taken seriously, so that they can go somewhere and be seen by people.

    3. Favorite color? Grass green, or a dark kelly green.

    4. I grab my external hard drives and laptop computers, my bin where I've catologued my film projects and printed photos, my photo albums and boxes

    5. I don't have a blog. this is my facebook: facebook.com/lauracbennett

  8. Aw, Erika-I know I have said this before but, you're blog is so lovely! I was catching up on reading it and this survey looked like fun! :)

    1. Where are you located? Does your hometown have everything that you want or do you dream of living somewhere else?
I live in a small(ish) town in Michigan (if you make the mitten shape with your hand, we'd be in the center of the muscle at the base of your thumb, if that makes sense?). We moved here 3 years ago after growing up in a city about 10 minutes away from Detroit and living in the same home for 13 years. At first, I hated it-it's much smaller than what I was used to and more distant from "civilization." Mostly, I just hated the change (I don't adapt well). Now, though, I LOVE it! It has such a wonderful sense of community and, the school system was great for Beez. I have very happy here.

    2. What do you do for a living? If you could make a living doing anything, what would it be?
Right now, I am a Dental Assistant/Radio intern/Student combo! If I could do anything, it would be to make a living working with music in some capacity. Whether it be making music or being a PR specialist for a band/record label, if music is involved-I'll be happy.

    3. Favorite color? (You can never be too old for this question.)
    PINK! I'm a girly-girl. I love greens/grays as well!

    4. You have to move out of your house in five minutes-- what three items do you grab?
My guitar, my photo album, and the Bible I use/was my mom's in high school.
