I'm seriously so excited for this whole "making and eating delicious salads all the time for the sake of my blog" thing. I hope you guys are enjoying it as much as I am. For today's salad, I mixed together some of my favorite ingredients. All it took was some fresh baby spinach, slices of strawberry, avocado, and hearts of palm with some Balsamic drizzled over the top. Hearts of palm are definitely different in flavor and texture but they're also definitely worth giving them a try! They're extremely high in potassium, Vitamin A and Vitamin B-9. Potassium is important for muscle as well as heart and nerve cell health and vitamins A and B-9 can help your vision and promote brain function. To me, they taste a little like beets with the texture of canned pears. If you see them in your local grocery store, give them a try!

this is my favorite kind of salad, minus the hearts of palm. Not that I'm against hearts of palm... I've just never tried them, nor do I know what they are. Something I should look into :)

They're actually EXACTLY what the name is, they're from Palm Trees! I had no idea until I looked it up. They're definitely a very interesting flavor but if you like trying new things I'd definitely suggest giving them a try!
