Weird, Wonderful, & Wanted

Danielle and I make it a point to check out the latest street art and incorporate it into my blog. Philly has a lot of great murals and the like so they need to be shown off.  Bet you didn't think of Philly as a very artistic city? Neither did I until fairly recently.

This particular piece is by artist Mike Smith. He designed it for his wedding but decided to decorate a condemned building with it and add a pop of color to the neighborhood. He says it's the first paste he's done in four years! Glad he's back at it because I really love this. (It's so mod!)

Of course I'm feeling these mod vibes so I went for a classic silhouette with a modern twist. A full skirt paired with a crop top is one of my favorite combinations; one I wear more than anything else. It's what's most flattering to my body type-- but even if it wasn't, I'd still rock it. And stripes... I mean, come on. Stripes make the world a better place.
