morning light

I never really thought of myself as a morning person because I can be quite the night owl at times. I love being the only one awake, I feel like I get most of my work done in the wee hours of morning. I get in the zone and won't let myself go to sleep until I'm done all of my work. Lately, however, I've fallen in love with my morning routine and learned what a pleasant and cheerful person that I can be in the morning. I feel like sort of a black sheep in the creative community because I feel like it's a "go to bed a 4AM and wake up past noon" kind of industry and no matter what time I go to bed, I can't seem to wake up much after 7:00, 7:30. I wasn't feeling too well this morning so I stayed in bed and got work done. I felt like a queen! Nothing like an entire French Press full of black coffee, a little reading, some pajamas, some classic rock, and lots of productivity, all while in bed. I even woke up to the smell of pineapple. Yes, there was a pineapple on my nightstand this morning when I woke up. I don't know what it was doing there but I'm not complaining.
