Road Trip by iPhone

Sorry (not sorry) for the Nashville overload. In addition to some photos snapped with my camera, here are some iPhonies. If you've never taken a road trip with your bestie, I suggest doing so in the near future. The semi-predictable girl-talk in the car between long bouts of listening to The National while not saying anything at all, the delicious food, beer, hockey, puppy cuddles, shopping, the mystique of the open road and some good 'ole Southern hospitality made it all just right.

p.s. Kudos to you if you spotted Barad-dûr. The joke was "one does not simply walk into Nashville..." Alright, I crack myself up sometimes.

Life is very, very beautiful. Capture every moment you can.

I need to start taking more iPhone photos again. I love looking back and realizing how many beautiful colors and textures are a part of my daily life. It's always an encouragement.

I try to get in the habit of going through my iPhone pictures once every few weeks or so. I've mentioned it many times before but I think that stepping back and observing all of the colors and textures that surround you from a distance helps to grow an appreciation for the simple beauty in life. It's good to get in the habit of capturing sweet little moments, even if it's just with your phone and even if you only keep them for your eyes only. (Sort of like a diary!) I love this particular batch of photos. Fun fact? They've all been taken within the last month and are from North Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. It's been a crazy, crazy month!

this (past) week in instagrams

If you've never moved before in your life, I can explain what it's like in only a few words: exhaustion and take-out food. Sorry I've been MIA for the past couple of days! We're just trying to get everything in order here. It's actually shaping up pretty well! Eisley finally came home after a couple days at a friend's so now it really does feel like home. I can't wait to share some pictures of the new place once everything is settled in!
