Herringbone & Cognac

It's difficult to not feel like a Princeton professor in a herringbone blazer but I think there are worst things to dress up as so I'm just going to let it happen. This one is classic. I love its long silhouette and simple pattern. It's easy to dress up with its matching skirt or over a black dress but today, I opted to dress it down. Some raw-edge wide leg denim and cognac clogs were a perfect match.

What Else? All Black.

If you've been following this blog for a while, you know that 2017 was the year I discovered and came to love statement denim. This skirt is certainly no exception. I didn't choose the mom life, the mom life chose me. (Dog mom, that is.) Mom jeans have kinda been my thing lately. So they may not be the most "traditionally flattering" but who's going to complain about all of that pocket space? Certainly not I.
