Springtime Boots

These boots are one of the most polarizing items in my closet. Some love 'em. Some hate 'em. They may be uncomfortable and a tad impractical but I embrace them. They make me feel like Nancy Sinatra, which is a little-known remedy for the mid-week blues.

I'm getting a lot of milage out of my "anti-Coachella" looks this festival season. I know Coachella and other festivals are "super important" to the music and fashion communities but here's the thing: they're kinda not. Can we stop pretending that music festivals are actually enjoyable? Maybe someday my career path will make 'chella a necessity but until then, I'm content to listen to my favorite bands on Spotify, in my house, with the AC on, preferably sans pants, far away from hoards of drunk biddies in bindis. (WHY?) I digress.

Boots are an amazing way to shake up your springtime wardrobe. I wear this dress a LOT (most notably here and here.) I needed something to distract from the fact that it's getting a little... tight... so these show-stopping thigh-highs were obviously the way to go. I also layered some necklaces to give it some "I just blew in here from the desert like a woebegone tumbleweed" vibes. Eat my shorts, Coachella.
